The Cobweb Orchestra

The Cobweb Orchestra has seven groups in the north of England, and the Newbiggin group was one of the first, founded over 10 years ago by a Newbiggin resident, Derek Hobbs.
We are an open access orchestra, so anyone who can play an instrument at any level that would fit with a symphony orchestra is welcome to come along and enjoy playing with us. We play a wide variety of music and occasionally give local concerts in Newbiggin and Ashington.
We meet at 7:30 on Tuesday evenings in the Newbiggin Sports and Community Centre (10 meetings a term) so just bring your instrument and a music stand and introduce yourself to our conductor, Lizelle Kirby.

Newbiggin by the Sea Ramblers

A club dedicated to walking in Northumberland and Durham

Walks are organised on a rotating system and are at two weeks plus one day intervals and seven to nine miles long. Business meetings are held on the first Monday of each month (unless that Monday is a holiday) in the Bank House Social Club at 11am.
