Freeman, CFI of almost 30 years experience,
and winner of the world-famous Bognor Birdman competitions
for the past 5 years, runs the school 7 days a week. Northumbria Airsports offers hang gliding instruction, dual
flights and powered flights. The school
operates on flat fields with the use of a winch. We can tow
2-3 feet above the ground, or depending on the student's level
of experience, up to 2,000 feet. On your first day's experience,
you can achieve 10 - 12 flights. We also train in the beautiful
Cheviot Hills. 
The cost
for one days tuition is £110.00. If you decide the sport
is for you, membership of the BHPA costs £92 annually
or £55.00 for 3 months. It will take 3 - 4 days to achieve
your Elementary Pilot then another 2 - 3 days for your Club
Pilot. Daily tuition for BHPA members is £110.00.
