Welcome to the Newbiggin by the Sea R.N.L.I. website. The lifeboat station at Newbiggin is the oldest operational boathouse in the British Isles and Ireland, and in 2001 we celebrated our 150th anniversary.

- Visitors are welcome to the lifeboat house on Sunday mornings where there are displayed many artifacts to do with the history of Newbiggin and it's lifeboat house;and there is often the opportunity to see the lifeboat and crew at exercise in the Bay.
