June 2003: Newbiggin regeneration team is chosen     Three of a kind - Project Manager Andrea Malcolm, Project Director John Johnston and Community Project Officer Roberta Buchanan will be working together on planning a new future for Newbiggin Meet the team that will spearhead the drive to revitalise the village of Newbiggin by the Sea over the next three years. Two new full-time appointments have been announced - Project Manager Andrea Malcolm and Community Project Officer Roberta Buchanan are joining Project Director John Johnston - who is also Head of Business Development at Cheviot Housing Association - to develop and deliver a masterplan for attracting new private and public sector investment to the village. With Wansbeck Council, the Government's Regional Office, the Housing Corporation, the local Community Area Partnership, and the people who live and work in Newbiggin, their task will be to revitalise the village through initiatives to create new facilities as well as improving the environment and appearance of Newbiggin. The first task for Andrea and Roberta, who will be based in Newbiggin at the Council's local housing office, is to organise a village-wide launch of the project towards the end of june.
